AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is an organization that has been around for over 50 years!
AWANA is an excellent children's ministry that focuses on memorizing key Bible verses and learning essential Bible truths. It is presented in a fun, club approach with teaching, gym time, and snacks. AWANA at Metropolitan takes place on Wednesday nights at 6:45 PM througout the school year.

AWANA AWARDS NIGHT will be Wednesday, May 14, at 6:45 p.m. There will be no adult meetings that evening, but everyone is encouraged to attend to support the Scripture memory work of the children involved in this ministry as well as the many workers who helped to make this a meaningful year in their lives.
